Emirates, founded on 15 March 1985, is one of the two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates and the largest airline in the Middle East. Based in Garhoud, Dubai, the airline is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is owned by the government of Dubai's Investment Corporation of Dubai. It operates more than 3,600 flights per week from its hub at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, serving over 150 cities in 80 countries across six continents with a fleet of nearly 250 aircraft. Its comprehensive product portfolio includes passenger services and cargo operations, undertaken by Emirates Sky Cargo. With an annual revenue of US$ 34.83 billion (2024-25), Emirates maintains a dominant market position, competing with other major global airlines, including its fellow flag carrier Etihad Airways.
