Instapaper is a social bookmarking service founded in 2008 by Marco Arment, designed to allow users to save web content for later reading on various devices like e-readers, smartphones, or tablets. The company, which specializes in online bookmarking and saving articles, underwent several ownership changes: Arment sold a majority stake to Betaworksin April 2013, followed by an acquisition by Pinterest in mid-2016. In July 2018, ownership was transferred from Pinterest to a newly formed entity, Instant Paper, Inc., with the transition finalized on August 6, 2018.
