About
Prologis, Inc. is a public real estate investment trust headquartered at Pier 1, San Francisco, California, United States, specializing in logistics facilities. Founded in 1983, the company became the world's largest industrial real estate firm following its formation through the merger of AMB Property Corporation and Prologis in June 2011. As of 2025, Prologis operates an extensive portfolio of over 6,000 buildings, encompassing approximately 1.3 billion square feet, and more than 15,000 land acres across 20 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Its core business strategy, as noted by The Economist, focuses on acquiring and developing warehouses strategically located near large urban areas where land is scarce, serving about 6,600 tenants. The company reported a revenue of US$ 8.20 billion in 2024. In 2018, Prologis diversified its offerings by launching Essentials, a non-real estate business providing customers with logistics tech equipment such as solar power, racking systems, forklifts, generators, and EV charging infrastructure.
