Zemax, also known as Zemax Optic Studio, is a specialized software program for designing and simulating optical systems. Running on Microsoft Windows, it is extensively used in the fields of optics and photonics to design and analyze various optical components and systems, including lenses, cameras, telescopes, microscopes, and both imaging and illumination systems. Since 2021, Zemax has been owned and developed by Ansys.
